Research Technician with yeast expertise
Position
The R&D activities of ProteoNic focus on the development of competitive knowledge on protein yield improvement in commercial production systems. Growth and market demand require expansion of our team with scientists and research technicians. We have a position available for a research technician with experience on yeast biotechnology for supporting our Pichia pastoris activities.
You are responsible for carrying out methods to study and optimize protein production in the Pichia pastoris protein expression platform and for executing common molecular biology and biochemical tasks.
Daily activities comprise:
- Cell transformations (fungi and yeast)
- Enzyme assays and protein analysis (ELISA, Western blots)
- Microscale fermentation experiments
- Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and protocols
- RNA analysis (QPCR, 5’RACE)
- Molecular biology support
- Cooperation with commercial and non-commercial partners
- Concise reporting according to company guidelines and awareness of new intellectual property
Profile candidate
